Mrs. John Drake, after a lingering illness lasting over a period of several months, succumbed to that dread disease, consumption, and passed away early Wednesday morning, December 12th, at the family home in this city.

Mrs. Drake was only in the 26th year of her life and it is indeed sad to have to give up the pleasures of life so young, but the News would point those whom she leaves behind to mourn her death, to that great reunion in a better world where all is peace and love.
