Reinterment rites for Sgt. Orville W. Haralson, who died at Iwo Jima in the Pacific March 7, 1945, were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Thompson, Rev. Johnny Cox, and Rev. Loyd Lester officiating. Reinterment was in the Nocona Cemetery with the Harris-Hedgepath-Rolls American Legion Post in charge of military rites. Born January 3, 1919, Sgt. Haralson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Haralson of Paradise, former superintendent of Montague County Schools. The family made their home in Bonita when Sgt. Haralson was born.
