Mrs. Etta Jane Miller, 85, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning at her home, 211 Young street, after an illness of four years. Born August 14, 1876 at Georgetown, Texas. Mrs. Miller was the daughter of D. B. and Esther Anderson. She was married December 27, 1896 at Belcherville to O. N. Miller, who died July 31, 1944. A son, Dewey, also preceded her in death December 16, 1961. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Lee of Fort Worth and Mrs. Raymond Salmon of Nocona; three sons, Harold of Freeport and Cecil and Olin Miller of Nocona: 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Church of Christ. Rites were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Daugherty Memorial Chapel with Winstead Cooper and Roy Sanders officiating. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery. Bearers were Bill Salmon, B. T. Edwards, Willard Grigsby, Leonard Bertram, Tom Cowan and Olaf Lindelof. Source: Nocona News
