Ruby Louise Roper, 89, of Bowie, TX, passed away November 25, 2004 in a Bowie nursing home.

     She was born March 28, 1915 in Wise County, TX (near Alvord) to John William Richardson and Maude Dromgoole Richardson. In 1956, she married William A. Roper in Knox City, TX. Mrs. Roper was a cook, homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

     Graveside services were Sunday, November 28, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at Nocona Cemetery with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Jerry Woods Funeral Home directed the service.

     Survivors include: sons Jerry Waldrip of Nocona, TX and Loyd Waldrip of Bowie, TX; daughters Allie Gaydon of Nocona, TX and Sandy Walsworth of Thackerville, OK; ten grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

     Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Roper, one son, Rodney Lynn Waldrip and one sister, Samantha Funderburk.
