She was born August 18, 1929 in Little Rock, AR to Odis and Maude Black. She was a homemaker and worked for Tulsa Screw Products for 13 years.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Scott-Morris Chapel. Burial followed at the Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home of Nocona.

Survivors include: children, Katheren Sue Black, Merrl Black, Kenny Fixico, Jimmy Fixico, Linda Burnett, Nancy Burnett, Patricia Burnett and Sandra Burnett; step children, Delores Burk, James Boyd Burnett, Betty Burnett, Carol Burnett James, Kay Tibbits, Linda Darlene Burnett and Steve Burnett; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and lots of nieces and nephews.
