Raymond H. “Ray” Reed, 80 of Nocona, Texas, passed away February 19, 2016, in Wichita Falls. Ray was born May 14, 1935, in Montague, Texas to William Jennings Brian Reed and Lilian Wilcox. He married Mary Frances McCracken on December 17, 1992 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Ray worked as a truck driver, in home construction, and as a jack of all trades. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Nocona. Services were held on Monday, February 22, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Nocona. Ministers Scott Melton & Larry Kruger officiated. Interment followed at Nocona Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jerry Woods Funeral Home. Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Reed of Nocona; son, Scott Reed of Iowa Park; Daughters, Jana Behrens of Wichita Falls, Darla Atchley of Missouri; sisters, Frances Skinner of Nocona, Marilyn Lewis of Wichita Falls, Carolyn Blanton of Lake Dallas; brothers, Bill Reed of Denton, Roger Reed of Nocona; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren
