A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Feb. 29 at First Baptist Church of Nocona with the Rev. Dave Woodbury officiating. Interment followed at Nocona Cemetery. He was born April 4, 2014 in Gainesville to William and Christina Newland. He was affiliated with St. William’s Catholic Church in Montague. He is survived by his parents, William and Christina Newland; brother, Levi Newland; grandparents, Ida Anselmo Delafuente, Jerry Newland both of Nocona and Brenda Wood, Wichita Falls; great grandparents, Dorothy Newland, Mary Simpson both of Nocona, Frances and Jimmy Bonds, Cyril, OK, Beulah Pollard, Wichita Falls, Frank and Melba Valdez, Fort Worth, and Mario and Santa Delefuente, Fort Worth. Memorials may be made to Cooke Children’s Hospital. Arrangement were entrusted to Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.
