Emily Ann (Cardwell) Beddingfield earned her wings on Saturday, July 16, 2016, after a valiant battle with pulmonary disease.

Born to Louise (Jennings) and Shirley Donald Cardwell on August 19, 1939, Wichita Falls, Texas, Ann was raised in Lubbock, Texas, where she graduated from Lubbock High School. While in the 6th grade at Posey Elementary, she met the love of her life, Ray Beddingfield. They eloped after graduation and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2016. Ann had a number of different jobs throughout her life ranging from making sandwiches to sell in stores in Lubbock to working in the Mud Department at McClellan Engineers in Houston. She was always an active volunteer, volunteering for the Ladies Auxiliary at Nocona Hospital and for any and all activities her children participated in; no one could gather donations like she could! She was a big personality and you always knew exactly where you stood with her. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends whom she loved beyond measure. She loved going out to eat, going on cruises, watching her soap and a good sale!

Services were held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Nocona, Texas. Interment followed in the Nocona Cemetery. Reverend Duane McClure officiated. All Services under direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home

Ann is survived by her loving husband, Ray; her son Jess Beddingfield of Houston; her daughter Tonya Erwin of Midland; and three granddaughters.
