BOWIE – Mary Cornett, 74, died April 28, 2017 in Decatur, TX.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. April 29 at the Nocona Cemetery.
Cornett was born March 23, 1943 in Saint Jo to Willie “Hoot” Gibson and Iva Pearl Nix Gibson. She was a nursing home administrator and a member of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shelly Elizabeth Cornett; son, Steven Matthews; and sisters, Darlene Abernathy and Betty Morrow.
She is survived by her son, Matt Matthews, Bowie; daughters, Janet Matthews, Wilson, OK and Angie Cornett, Marietta, OK; sister, Coleen McComas, Bowie; brother, Howard Gibson, Gainesville; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to the Bowie Senior Citizen’s Center.
