Billy Gene Webb of Lipan, TX, and formerly of Nocona Hills, passed from this life August 24, 2018 at the age of 80. Billy was born December 1st, 1937 near Nocona to Homer and Tula Webb. Billy met Shirley Jane Watson, and the two married on October 19, 1962. Billy and Shirley enjoyed 49 years of marriage before Shirley passed away January 6, 2012. Billy worked at the Handley Power Plant as an electrician until his retirement. When he was off work, he enjoyed outdoor sports such as camping, fishing, and hunting, but his greatest hobby was gun trading. He frequented gunshows often, even up to once a week for many years. Along with his love of guns came a deep respect for the Second Amendment, but also for the entire United States Constitution. He believed deeply in the ideals it set forth and that made America the great country that it has become. He enjoyed sharing this love of America and its history with his children and grandchildren. Most of all, Billy deeply loved Shirley, their children, and their grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife Shirley and by their infant daughter. Billy is survived by his daughters Tandie Webb of Weatherford and Brandi McNeff and husband Christopher, of Lipan; grandchildren Amber Maddux Burris, Lindsey Robertson, Kelsey Hendrix, Colton Hendrix, Madison McNeff, and Caleb McNeff; his sister Barbara Robinson and husband Larry, and four great grandchildren.
Billy's funeral will be Saturday, September 1, 2018, 10:00 AM at Nocona Hills Community Church, with Jack McBride officiating. Billy's family will receive visitors Friday, August 31, 6:00PM - 7:00PM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Billy loved his family and friends with all his heart, and he will be deeply missed.
