Doris Ann Lemond went home to the Lord on June 5. Doris was born on September 20, 1937 in Nocona, Texas to Cecil and Vernon Smith. Doris was the eldest of three children. She loved her sister, Leta and brother, Charles so very much. She enjoyed her cousins and spent many hours on the back porch visiting with them. She married Morris Lemond in February of 1960 in Nocona, her hometown. They built a home together for their two children Debbie and David. She was thrilled to welcome two grandsons Caine and Camden. She was so proud of them - especially the men that they have grown into. She adored their wives Kaylie and Kenzie. Her greatest joy in the last year was the arrival of her great granddaughter Hazel.

Doris was a homemaker and a childcare provider. Doris was an excellent seamstress. She spent many happy hours sewing. She especially loved making baby quilts. Doris was an active member of the Faith Village Church of Christ. She was part of a ladies sewing circle and loved attending ladies bible class. Doris was blessed with a wonderful church family and a precious circle of close friends. Her friends blessed her life every day - especially in her last years. She loved her childhood and life-long friend Linda Sue so very much. Joan, Wanda, Martha, Donna, Jean and so many other friends made a huge difference in her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Morris. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Debbie and David, her grandchildren Caine and Kaylie and Camden and Kenzie and her great granddaughter, Hazel Anne Dipprey. Doris is also survived by her sister, Leta Armstrong and her brother Charles Smith. She was beloved by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
