Dorothy Johnson, 80 of Nocona, passed from this life Sunday, October 16, 2022. Dorothy was born in Ft. Worth on February 21, 1942 to John Charles Barnes and Clara Rosina (Blure) Barnes.
Dorothy was many things to many people. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful Christian, and caring nurse.
Dorothy married Bill Johnson. They shared life and love and had two daughters, Dory and Earlene.
Dorothy was full of compassion. She was a registered nurse, and her heart for caring for others helped influence many more in her family to become nurses. Her heart also made her a generous person who was always giving to others.
When she wasn't working, Dorothy enjoyed crafts. She was always sewing, painting, knitting, cross-stitching, or making something.
Dorothy was a faithful Christian. She was a faithful member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, where she often led Bible studies.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Bill in 1990. She is survived by her daughters Dory Vargas and Earlene Misgar.
Dorothy's funeral was graveside at Nocona Cemetery Wednesday, October 19, 1:00 PM, officiated by James Messer, under direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Dorothy's passing leaves a void no one can fill here. But her faith was in Jesus her Lord and Savior, and she has gone on to receive the reward He prepared for her.
