Susie Yeargin Russell, 76, died on Feb. 23, 2023 in Bowie, TX. She was born on April 3, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Jo and Walter Mock. She attended middle school at Taipe American School in Taiwan. She attended and graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, TX in 1964. That same year she was selected as Miss Fort Sam Houston. She then attended college at East Texas State University. Susie owned and operated Sears and Montgomery Wards catalog stores until 1979 when she accepted a job at F & M bank now called Wells Fargo Bank in Nocona where she worked until retirement in 2012. She enjoyed clog dancing and all kinds of music from classical to rock but what she enjoyed most is her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Al Yeargin and Don Russell, son, Jeff Yeargin and daughter, Joey Yeargin-Clower. She is survived by her son, Jay Yeargin of League City, TX, granddaughter, Kimber Clower of Bowie, TX., and two best friends anyone could ever have, Glen and Eileen. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 6 – 7 P.M. at Jerry Woods Chapel in Nocona. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11 A.M. also at Jerry Woods Chapel with minister Valleri Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in Nocona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Embry, Chase Fenoglio, Todd Wright, Hobie Meekins, Robert Fenoglio, and David Yeargin. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Advanced Rehab of Bowie and Solaris Hospice for their great care.
