William Clark, known as Uncle Billy, died last Friday night and was buried at the Nocona Cemetery Saturday afternoon. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born in Ireland and was proud of it, April 27, 1840, and died in Nocona November 25, 1921, was 81 years old. He came to Nocona about the time the Katy Railroad was build and was here when the Nocona townsite was laid out. His wife preceded him in death a few years ago. J. G. Clark, a son, died a short time ago. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. T. W. Williams of Nocona, and a son, Dr. Simon J. Clark of Austin, Texas and several grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the family residence Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Father Dreiling of the Catholic Church at Henrietta.
