Martha Elizabeth Matheson, 92, of Nocona, TX, passed away March 6, 2008 in Nocona. She was born August 4, 1915 in Viola, TN to Claude E. and Louella Mae Owens Myers. On January 5, 1942, she married Cecil E. Matheson in Providence, RI. He preceded her in death February 28, 1977. She was a nurse’s aid and a member of the Methodist Pythian Sisters and Camp Fire Girls. Funeral services were Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Fathers Richard McHenry and Stephen Jones officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home. Survivors include: daughter, Claudia Williams of Cleburne, TX; son, Cecil E. Matheson, Jr. of Nocona, TX; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Robert Fenoglio, Tom Horn, Mike Lemons, Jim L. Keck, Jim Kennedy, Ray Walker, Elton Teague, and Donald Ray Fenoglio. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Storey, Robert Uselton, Condel Lowrie, Jimmy Carpenter, John W. Coleman, Fred Castle, Ronnie Mann, Dale Dow, Jack Dow and Herman Conway.
