William Wyler \"Bill\" Russell passed away in his home on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010 after a lengthy battle with Colon Cancer.

He was born in Nocona, TX on February 26, 1955 to Gerald and Wanda Russell. He was educated in Nocona Public School and was a member of the class of 1974. His last job was for Hull Environmental out of Atoka, OK. He then came back to Texas and worked in his property west of Nocona.

At his request, his body was cremated and no memorial service was held. At a later date, his ashes will be interred during a private ceremony at Nocona Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home of Nocona.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Russell and his sister Janet Barker, both of Nocona. He is also survived by his children Sam of Denton; Lindsey of Nocona; and Jena of Wichita Falls.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Darla Keck for the Nocona Animal Shelter at 814 Young St, Nocona. or to the Solaris Hospice.
