Roberta Ann (Vice) Schmidt, 77, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2013 from complications brought on by a stroke.  She was born on February 19, 1936, in Nocona, to G.R. Vice and J. Gladys (Love) Vice.  She grew up in Nocona and in Bonita.  Ann was an avid barrel racer and was sponsored by the Nocona Boot Company at numerous rodeos.  Ann worked over the years for the Army and Air Force Exchange System, Gibson Discount Center and the Southland Corporation in a variety of management positions.  After retirement, she moved to Gainesville, to be close to her Aunts and Cousins.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church while living in Gainesville.  She moved to McKinney in 2004, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKinney.
Survivors include a son, Donnie K. Payne of McKinney, a son, Jackie L. Schmidt of Fort Worth and a daughter, Deborah R. Keel of Aubrey.  Ann is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and siblings, Gladys Ray Jones of Tulsa, OK, Toby D. Vice of Chehalis, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Terry Lynn Payne.
