BOWIE – Emogene Hollars Wright, 89, died Aug. 16, 2014.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at Jerry Woods Chapel.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 22 in Jerry Woods Chapel with the ministers Scott Melton and Phillip Weitner will be officiating. Interment will follow the service in Nocona Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 3, 1924 at Bonita. She married Nate Wright, a World War II soldier, in June of 1943. After 23 years in the service, they retired and moved to Florida. She continued to work for the Collier County Public Schools after her husbands passing until she retired in 1995 with nearly 30 years at her job.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Wright, Bowie, Charles Wright, Oakland Gardens, N.Y. and Martha Lavender, Ft. Myers, FL.; sister, Frances Holcomb, Nocona; brother, Eddie Hollars, Las Lunas, NM; six nephews; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
