Larry passed away February 14, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. He was 67 years old. His graveside service will be held in Nocona, Texas under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Nocona Cemetery.

Larry was born October 8th, 1947 in Spanish Fort, Texas to Sam and Geneva Sterling. He worked in the oilfield until his health began to fail. He was known by the people of Nocona when he was 6 & 7 years old for playing the fiddle on the Bill Mack show in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his brother Kenneth (Bo) Sterling, and one nephew Larry Glenn Sterling.

He is survived by his son Jason Sterling and wife Leah of Abilene, Texas. Sister Joyce Penaluna and husband Herman of Nocona. One granddaughter and a great grandson, a nephew Chris Sterling and wife Michaela of Nocona and niece Ann Catlin of Spanish Fort. Two double first cousins Sandra Kennedy and husband Joe of Nocona and Brenda Hill of Alto, Texas. Sister in law Jerry Sterling of Nocona and several cousins.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Scott Morris Funeral Home from 6-8 PM
