After an illness of some three weeks, William Monroe Whedbee died Tuesday afternoon, about 6 o’clock, at the home of his niece, Mrs. R. B. Williams. He was born in Gentry County, Missouri, in 1847, and had lived in Texas since he was a small boy. Died Tuesday, June 5th, 1917, and was therefore in his 70th year.  He was well known in Nocona, having lived here for many years past. The funeral services were held at the Nocona Cemetery, con­ducted by Rev. J. H. Henderson, and interment immediately after­ward at 4 p.m., Wednesday. We extend our sincere sympathy to the family.
