Ronald Franklin Davis, 73 of Nocona passed away peacefully from this earth to enter his eternal home on January 2, 2021. Ronnie was born on December 26, 1947 in Gainesville Texas. The first of three sons to be born to Odis and Mary Lou Davis. Ronnie was raised in Nocona with his twin brother Donnie and younger brother Jerry Dan. Ronnie graduated from Nocona High School in 1966. After high school, he attended college at Cooke County College where he received his associates degree. Ronnie served his country in the National Guard at Fort Polk, Louisiana for 5 years. When he finished his service to his country, he returned back to his home town of Nocona. While living in Nocona, he was the owner of Davis Jewelry Store for 35 years before his retirement. Ronnie served his community as a board member on the Nocona Chamber of Commerce for 30 years as well as the Nocona Housing Authority Board. Ronnie loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. They were his pride and joy and he lived to tell their stories of success. He was known as "Uncle Ronnie" to not only his nieces and nephews but all of the community. He will be remembered by the town of Nocona for his love of jewelry and constant service to his community. Ronnie never met a stranger and welcomed everyone he met into the community of Nocona. He was always ready, willing, and able to help anyone in need. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father Odis, and beloved sister- in-law Mary Beckman Davis. He is survived by his loving mother Mary Lou, brothers Donnie and wife Carrie, and Jerry Dan and wife LaDonna. Nephews Shawn and wife Colby, Jarret and wife Julie, Zachary and wife Sommer. Nieces Branda and husband Michael, Erica and husband Shawn, Kristyn and husband Ryan. He also leaves behind 16 great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday January 5th at 11 am at the Nocona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Mary Beckman Davis Downtown Park at Wells Fargo Bank in Nocona, or the Tales and Trails Museum of Nocona.
