Larry Joe Jacobs Sr., 75, died on April 11, 2023 in Nocona, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 9, 1948 in Fort Worth, TX to Malcolm E & Mary Faye Lyon Jacobs.  

Larry worked for several years as a plumber for Charter Industries, then becoming a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service and then Waste Management for 20 plus years.  He served briefly in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all lovingly referred to him as "Grumpy".  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward Jacobs, and great-granddaughter, Alli Rose Walker.  

He is survived by his children, Larry Jacobs Jr. & husband James Thrombley of Houston, TX, Lisa Walker & husband Jimmy of Nocona, TX, Malcolm Wayne Jacobs & wife Melissa of Nocona, TX, Christa Ulbig & husband James of Nocona, TX, sisters, Betty Northcutt of Bedford, TX,  Shirley Yeager of North Richland Hills, TX,  Brenda Tatum of Spring, TX, brother, Donnie Jacobs of Plantersville, TX, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1 P.M. at Nocona Cemetery officiated by Pastor Rex Hamilton.  Pallbearers will be Hank Ulbig, James Ulbig, Jimmy Walker, Mason Jacobs, Bryan Reed, Jim Walker Jr., Kamry Weber.  Honorary Pallbearers are his great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may go to Lucky Paws Animal Shelter in Nocona.
