Everett Eugene Grant, 82, of Nocona, TX, passed away April 2, 2011, in Nocona. Everett was born on July 28, 1928, in Tupelo, TX to Emily Frances Vice and Ernest Walter Grant. He married Ruby Jo Kerr. He was a member of the Northside Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Nocona. He worked for Nocona Boot Company and after he retired, he opened his own station, Grant’s Conoco Service Station. Funeral services were Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Northside Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Kerr and Rev. Don Hogan officiating. Burial followed at Nocona Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Survivors include his daughters, Rebecca Jo Grant of Nocona, TX, Tammy Eugenia Grant Galvan of Krum, TX, 2 grandsons, 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Ernestine Platt of Oklahoma City, OK, and many nieces and nephews.
