Sonya Althea Bell passed from this life June 29, 2011 at Bowie Memorial Hospital, Bowie, Texas.   Sonya was born August 9, 1952, at Major Clinic Hospital in Nocona, Texas to Morris Leon Bell and Melba Dean (Hewitt) Bell. She grew up near Belcherville, TX. She moved to Nocona and opened Bell’s Drive-In. She graduated from Nocona High School in 1971. After graduating she worked as an operator for the Nocona Telephone Company and at Bell’s Drive-In. She later moved to Wichita Falls to work for the State of Texas Hospital Facility where she was employed as a MHMR Specialist. Funeral services for Sonya were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Scott-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Lamascus officiating. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Her survivors include: brother Ronnal Bell of Montague; two sisters-in-law, two aunts, four nieces, four nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
