Lucy Mae Wood, 85, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 in Bowie, Texas.

Lucy was born on June, 30 1926 in Nocona, Texas to Beulah Thompson and Emerson Ottis Fowler. She married Johnnie D. Wood. She attended East Side Baptist Church in Bowie, TX. Lucy has worked as a Dietary Cook in Bellmire Nursing Home for 15 years.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at Scott-Morris Funeral Home with Larry Cox officiating. Interment followed in the Nocona Cemetery. Funeral is under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.

She is survived by her children, Beulah Wood of Bowie, Inez Beasley of Bowie, Mable Beasley of Bellevue, E.J. Wood of Bowie, Charles Wood of Bowie, Homer Wood of Bowie, & Doria White of Bowie; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Emerson Fowler of Bowie; sister, Ethel Grant of Gainseville.
