Raymond Lee Murphey passed away suddenly on December 25, 2019 at the Nocona Hospital ER.    Raymond was born September 15, 1949 to Billie Ray Murphey and Juanita Faye Howerton Murphey in Nocona, Texas.     He  is  survived  by  his  mother,  Juanita;  a  son,  Cory  Don  Murphey  of  Gainesville,  TX;  grandchildren,  Haley  and  Hunter  Murphey of Forney, TX and Riley and Jaxson Murphey of Gainesville, TX;  stepmom, Helen Murphey of Nocona; sister, Vicki Jones and her husband, Gary of Gainesville; brother, Alan Murphey and wife, Linda  from  Sanger;  sister,  Christie  McGuffin  and  husband,  Jim  from Gene Autry, OK.; stepbrother, Greg Womack from West Columbia,  Texas;  stepsister,  Karen  Hutchings  and  husband,  Donnie  from  Nocona;  stepsister,  Kathy  Harden  and  her  husband,  Randy  from  Gainesville;  uncle  Jerry  Murphey  and  wife,  Terry  from  Nocona; uncle John Murphey and his wife, Fern from Nocona.     Preceding  in  death  is  his  son  Chad  William  Murphey,    sister  Kelley Dean Murphey and his father Billie Raye Murphey.    Memorial service and a time of remembering Raymond will be Friday January 10, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Nocona Cemetery on the west side. If weather is bad it will be held at the Scott Morris Funeral Home.
