David Keck, 76, died at his home surrounded by his loving family in Nocona, Tx on October 29,2021. He was born on October 12, 1945 in Nocona to Ross and Addie Lumley Keck. David was a lifelong resident of Nocona graduating from Nocona High in 1964 where he was an all-state football player. He has often been described as possibly the toughest player to ever play for the Nocona Indians. He went on to play football at Oklahoma State University and Northwestern State College in Natchiches, Louisiana. He married the love of his life Pat Brashear on June 26, 1964 in Nocona. He worked mostly as an engineer and rancher. He was also a member of Jean’s Men’s Bible Class in Nocona. As David went through his battle with cancer, he was always quick to say that he was going to be okay because he carried his best friend, Jesus Christ, in his shirt pocket and that he knew that no matter what happened his savior was with him. He is survived by his wife, Pat Keck, of Nocona, TX, children, Kyle Keck and wife Leslie of Nocona, TX, Wesley Keck and Tiffaney of Decatur, TX, Brad Keck and wife Missy of Ryan, OK, sister Barbara Horton and husband Pete of Nocona, TX, brother, Carroll Keck and wife Janet of Nocona, TX, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Louise Morrow, brothers Cecil, Jack and Bobby Keck. There will be a visitation on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 6 - 7 P.M. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona. A funeral service will follow on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2 P.M. at the Church of Christ in Nocona officiated by Kaden Keck and Dr. Scott Hamilton. Interment will follow at Nocona Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Keck, Trysten Vakoc, Kaden Keck, Jettsen Keck, Corbin Gantt, Dereck Bonilla, John Bowser, Ti Caughman, Tyler Richards and Korbin Storrs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stan Phipps, Bobby Guinn, Jack Dow, Tim Mercer, Steve Chupp, Billy Tuggle, Ben Hill, Kelly Clark, Glenn Barker, Willard Nargharg, Robert Fenoglio, Richard Pults, Dwight McNew, James Bridgeman, Steve Pickens, Wayne Jacobs, James Oldham, Sammy Machen, Greg Keck and Butch Brashear.
