Loyd Ray Admire, 57, of Nocona, passed away on June 26, 2008 in his home surrounded by family and friends.

Services were held at Jean's Men's Bible Class in Nocona on June 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dave Woodbury and J.W. Nash officiating, with music by Mark Murphey. He was escorted by a horse drawn hearse to his resting place a Nocona Cemetery. The pallbearers followed in a horse drawn coach. 

Loyd was born February 10, 1951 in Nocona to Smith and Bertie Admire. He graduated from Nocona High School in 1969 and attended Cooke County Junior College. He married Vickie Graham from Bowie on May 6, 1971 and they had two daughters. He was a member of Jean's Men's Bible Class and a past member of the Nocona Rural Fire Department. He was a cowboy by heart. He enjoyed participating in ranch round-up rodeos and riding clubs with his many friends. He also ran a construction business for many years until becoming disabled in October of 1990. He continued to enjoy entertaining his friends with cookouts and games of pool. One of his biggest joys was to spend time with his family and most especially his grandchildren.

His survivors include: daughters, Sherri LaMar and husband, Kyle, Staci Fenoglio and husband, Tony; a brother, Jerry Admire and wife, Sharon; a niece, Lisa Dishman and husband, William; six grandchildren: Kypher, Kinley and Keali LaMar, Sayler, Bray and Bren Fenoglio; and special friend, Terrie Price.

The pallbearers were: Doug Crabtree, Dan Fenoglio, Jimmy Kennedy, Clint Mahin, Wes Morton, Doug Murphy, David Paine, Art Penaluna, Stan Phipps and Joe Smith. The honorary pallbearers were John Agee, Joe Bob Combs, Joe Combs, Roger Cowden, Dickie Cox, Bill Crabtree, Jack Crenshaw, Eddie Fenoglio, Wylie Garner, John Ed Hinton, Ron Mahin, J.W. Nash, Roger Sawyer and Dennis Schwalbe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Smith and Bertie Admire.
