Larry Dale Cheshier was born on November 15, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. He passed from this life on August 12, 2025 in Texarkana, Texas. 

He graduated from McMurry University and began his career as a local manager with various electrical utility offices. He later retired as Administrative Supervisor for the AEP Turk Power Plant. Deeply committed to his community, Larry held leadership roles and was actively involved in many civic organizations, including the Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Planning & Zoning Commission, the Housing Authority and the Corvette Club. He also served as the Executive Director of Vernon Business Development, where he worked to strengthen & grow his community. 

Larry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His dedication to family, faith, and community left a lasting impact on all who knew him. 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Theresa Cheshier, son, Kevin Cheshier & wife Claudia; grandson, Barrett Scott Cheshier II, granddaughter, Julia Emma Cheshier, brothers, Donald Cheshier & wife Rhonda, Anthony Cheshier & wife Lawana; sisters, Delores Hoover & husband Robert, Connie Skidmore & Sandra Vicks; & many cherished nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Dorothy Cheshier, son Barrett Scott Cheshier, and brothers, Thomas Bandy, Chris, and Ronnie. There will be a graveside memorial service on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Nocona Cemetery.
