Weldon Carpenter, age 92, of Nocona, TX passed away September 13, 2004 in the Nocona General Hospital.

Mr. Carpenter was born October 1, 1911 in Montague County, TX to William Franklin and May Eaton Carpenter. He married Marjorie Hill on August 19, 1945 in Nocona, TX. He worked in the oil field for Bolin Oil Company for many years. He was baptized in the Assembly of God Church in 1937 and in recent years attended the Valley View Baptist Church when he was able.

Funeral services for Mr. Carpenter were held September 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Scott-Morris Chapel. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Marjorie Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and May Carpenter; and sisters and brothers, Oda Morrow, Eula Moore, Jewel Young, Roy Carpenter and Evert Carpenter.
