On August 19, 1945, she married Weldon Carpenter in Nocona. He preceeded her in death in 2004. Marjorie was a homemaker, gardener and quilter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Nocona, TX and attended Valley View Baptist Church. Funeral services were Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Eason officiating. Burial followed in Nocona Cemetery, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home. She is survived by: one sister, Rosemary Vickery of Nocona; and one brother, Adrian Hill of Spanish, Fort. Pallbearers were Scott Carpenter, Brent Carpenter, Jesse Kincy, Mark Reinhart, Larry Lemons and Tim Tompkins. Memorials may be made to Valley View Baptist Church Building Fund, 7886 Fm 2953, Nocona, TX 76255.
