Hurshel Loyal Womack, 85, of Nocona, TX, passed away August 9, 2007 in Nocona. He was born February 8, 1922 to Blanche Ellen (Crow) and John Roy Womack. He married Ruthie Chatman on April 20, 1946 in Montague, TX. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a gas station owner/operator and was a member of the First Baptist Church and Jean’s Men’s Bible Class. Funeral services were Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Jean’s Men’s Bible Class, with the Rev. Dave Woodbury and Buddy Lee officiating. Burial followed at Nocona Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of the Jerry Woods Funeral Home. Survivors include wife, Ruthie Womack, Nocona; children, Ronnie Loyal Womack, Irving, TX and Steven James Womack, McKinney, TX; sister, Norma Roberts, Nocona; brothers, Cliffored Womack and Floyd Womack, both of Nocona; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Donnie Womack, Dale Womack, Rodger Womack, Larry Womack, Danny Roberts and Randy Womack.
