June Roberts Carpenter, 72, Wichita Falls, TX, passed away on June 16, 2007 at Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX.

June was born on April 9, 1935 in Nocona, TX, where she grew up and graduated from Nocona High School in 1953. She married Billy James Carpenter on August 23, 1952 in Wichita Falls, TX. They lived for many years in Wichita Falls and the Dean Community and were married 49 1/2 years, before Bill passed away February 16, 2002. June worked many years as an insurance adjustor in Wichita Falls and was of the Church of Christ faith. June enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Graveside services were conducted Monday, June 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nocona Cemetery, Nocona, TX with Rev. Rod Messer officiating. Interment followed, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.

Survivors include: sons, Jimmie Carpenter and wife Dawn of, Nocona, and Brian Carpenter of Wichita Falls; two granddaughters, Jamie and Cheryl of Nocona; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Edwards, her mother, Evelyn Roberts Morrow, and brother Haskell Roberts.
